In October 2014, the Arezzo Delegation of the Umberto Veronesi Foundation has promoted a lot of initiatives to support “Pink is Good”, the national campaign dedicated to the prevention of breast cancer. Tuttaluce, sensitive to the ethical and scientific value of the project, decided to join “Pink is Good” as a key player, collaborating in the creation of the symbol of the campaign: "Maria", the lamp. Designed by the architectural studio Superplum, "Maria" is a table lamp whose shapes and colors are ispired by some female figures who devoted their lives to the aim of research, such as Marie Curie. The item was made in a limited edition - 40 copies only, plus one in giant size - and it has been developed thanks to the efforts and dedication of several partners: Tuttaluce was involved for its skills in interior lighting and design; other companies - such as Cacioli, Atec and New Legno Service, lent their expertise in the fields of upholstery, electrical systems and woodworking. "Maria" was put on sale in the showroom Tuttaluce and in other shops involved in the iniziative, located in the historic center of Arezzo. All revenues were donated to support research against breast cancer.
