String Light, the news from Flos
During the Milan “Fuori Salone” Flos presented the latest creation by Michael Anastassiades, Cypriot-born designer, exhibiting it in a totally white room, set up in the Flos showroom in Corso Monforte. The new product is a hanging lamp called “String Light”: a black electric wire and two different light sources. The first one has the shape of an isosceles triangle, the second is spherical in shape. A perfect and poetic geometry, the light is involved in a relationship with the architecture of the space, perfectly fitting the lines of the walls. “String Light” represents a geometric game based on subtraction, because, in the work of Anastassiades, beauty lies in the essential.
